听力原文: Our request has been granted. Beginning Thursday, everyone in the office will be getting a new computer. We are all being upgraded to a faster model. The new computers will help us work much more efficiently than before and they are guaranteed not to crash our programs, as I'm sure you're all experienced. I want you all to note that the old computers are being discarded so you have to copy all of your files so you can put them on the new computers. I recommend having a disk copy and a hard copy as well, just in case something should happen. The installation will be completed by the end of the day, so it won't interrupt our process too much.

What will happen on Thursday?

A.Employees will move to a new offic<

B.New computers will be assigned.

C.Software will be installed.

D.New Employees will begin work.

听力原文: Hello, Dave, it's Sam calling from the logistics warehouse. Sorry to be an inconvenience to you, but when I left the head office this morning, I forgot a bag of samples that I was supposed to pass on to the material buyers. I was informed that you would be visiting the warehouse this afternoon, and if it's not too much trouble, I was wondering if you could bring the samples I left in your room with you when you come. On another note, there are a couple of purchase authorizations I'd like you to look over. They seem a little bit out of the ordinary, and I was wondering if you could keep me up to speed on the latest purchasing arrangements. I suspect there has been a couple of irregular purchases that may cause us to have an overabundance of stock in our inventory that we may have to have a clearance sale later this year, and I'd like to reduce this risk as much as possible if I can.

What is the main purpose of the call?

A.To inform. Dave of an upcoming inventory sale.

B.To ask Dave to deliver something.

C.To request a sample of the item.

D.To meet with one of their clients.

听力原文:MB Our restaurant's been open about two years, and we were just voted one of the
best restaurants in the city. We're riding high, so it has me wondering if maybe I should use this as an opportunity to expand my business. What do you think?

WB Well, first of all, congratulations on your award. That's no small achievement. Now as for expansion, the main thing you need to think about is what that'll do for you and your staff. I mean—how much do you oversee operations right now?

MB Exactly, that's my main concern. I'm in the restaurant every day, and I oversee practically every detail. I definitely couldn't do that if I opened another restaurant.

WB No, you couldn't, which means you'd have to hire or train somebody you could trust. The main question is, what's the ideal size you can handle, and still maintain your quality.

Why has the man approached the woman?

A.To request business advice

B.To thank her for helping him

C.To suggest an investment idea

D.To ask for help with a project
