May. As you can see on the screen, heavy rain and the risk of severe thunderstorms is forecast through Friday from the western Gulf Coast north and eastward through the lower and mid Mississippi Valley. Much of this area has already received heavy rain over the past few weeks, thus flash flooding is possible.
